Our mission is to embrace the international character of Wageningen and create a culturally and socially inclusive space in such a way that being part of our association feels like being part of one international family.

We do so by organising several diverse language and cultural courses, activities and excursions.

We are your home away from home!

ISOW was started by international students who wanted a place for having fun and learn about each other. Since its official recognition by WUR in 1996 it has been the hub for cultural exchange in Wageningen. To date it is one of the two international student associations recognized by the university and it’s the only one collaborating with the student country associations.

“ISOW for me is what we share. A place where people from over the world meet, introduce each other to their cultures and languages, dreams and fears, and we realize how close we can feel to someone who lived a seemingly entirely different life. Each encounter can change your life despite being short.”

— Nicolò M. Villa, Excursion and Activity Coordinator 2020-21
